Stop Runaway EPA Bureaucrats from
Regulating America Out of Business

The Threat:

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is moving full speed ahead to impose a massive new greenhouse gas emissions regulatory program on American businesses – and not just coal and mineral mines, steel mills and auto assembly plants! The EPA wants new regulatory authority over your local hospital and neighborhood businesses.

Despite numerous statements by senior White House and administration officials who say they want Congress, not the EPA, to make any final decisions on possible greenhouse gas emission rules, EPA is pushing ahead to regulate carbon emissions without direction from Congress.

If the un-elected bureaucrats at EPA get their way, as many as 6 million American businesses will be forced to plow through new EPA reporting requirements and pay massive new compliance costs.

Urgent Action Needed:

The EPA can be stopped now by bipartisan resolutions introduced in the U.S. House and Senate. In the Senate, Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) have introduced S.J. Res. 26. In the House, Reps. Ike Skelton (D-Mo.), Collin Peterson (D-Minn.) and Jo Ann Emerson (R-Mo.) have introduced H.J. Res. 76. These resolutions would overturn an “endangerment finding” that the EPA is using to justify its proposed massive intrusion into American lives. Urge your members of Congress to co-sponsor these resolutions by signing our petition.

If you agree with the following petition statement:

As a registered voter, I strongly oppose EPA’s actions to regulate carbon and other greenhouse emissions without congressional direction. Unless checked, EPA’s actions will cost jobs in my community, further hurt the U.S. economy, and jeopardize U.S. energy security. I urge the U.S. Congress to approve S.J. Res. 26 and H.J. Res. 76 as soon as possible.
